About

My name is Mark Meyers and I am Technology Educator at an independent PK3-8th grade school in Jacksonville, Florida since. I am dual certified in Special Education and Elementary Education. In addition, I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of West Florida. I have over 12 years experience in the software development field in industries such as pharmacy sales, higher education, military contracting, insurance, and grocery marketing.

My areas of interest are 21st century learning, global collaboration, and digital citizenship.  I currently teach kindergarten through 3rd graders in a technology lab.  Our 4th-8th grade classes have laptops in the classrooms for each student so I periodically teach technology in the classroom.  I teach a middle school class called Digiteen which teaches students digital citizenship and safe online choices.  I also produce and direct a live student-created news show four days a week.

I have been married for 13 years and we have two young sons.
